I've done some lurking at Stormfront (the same way I lurk at places like DU and Salon) and read some things people like David Duke and Richard Spencer write, and there is one clear trend with modern day "Nazi" (call it whatever you want) ideology:

It's more of a victim ideology than it is a hate ideology. Almost all of their catch phrases and tenets have to do with protecting the white race from one thing or another and not sending any group of people on the trains to be gassed.

Here's some of their catchphrases:
1. "The 14 words" - "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children."
2. "Anti Racist is a code-word for anti-white."
3. "Diversity is White Genocide"/"Stop White genocide"
4. The protestors in Charlottesville chanting "You will not erase us" and "white lives matter".
5. David Duke frequently using the term "Jewish supremacist".

I have yet to see anything about rounding up the joos.

Point being: What people refer to "white nationalists" or "neo-nazis" are much more like Black Lives Matter and less like the Third Reich than many care to admit.

It was only a matter of time before a subset of white people decided to try and cash in on the lucrative Oppression Olympics to get followers to buy into some cause.

I check up on Stormfront too and I completely disagree with your assessment. I'm not going to get into it, but SF has multiple layers to the website (user-only threads, hidden threads, and a dark-web live/coordination chat that has some of the most terrifying rhetoric you can imagine). Their constant fundraisers aren't simply for hosting SF...it's for a multitude of other items. A few years ago their largest donors figured SF was always in danger of losing its hosting service, so they invested into infrastructure on the dark-web which the most seasoned and trusted members use.

SF is simply the face of their ideology; it's the site they use to gain sympathy from people "just browsing."

The only reason I mentioned Salon and DU is to preempt the "wow why are you lurking on white nationalists sites" type comment.

DU does have some good discussions and interesting links and definitely has a bigger tent than Stormfront, but it has a lot of Froot Loops, too.

The left doesn't get to dictate what other do or say. They try intimidation tactics and then cry about the consequences of their actions. Just like BLM and just like gay pride parades, no different than Antifa, Nazis or ISIS
