Franken apologized for the incident in a statement obtained by PEOPLE, saying: “I certainly don’t remember the rehearsal for the skit in the same way, but I send my sincerest apologies to Leeann. As to the photo, it was clearly intended to be funny but wasn’t. I shouldn’t have done it.”

So his "apology" is sorry, but he doesn't remember it that way, and as for the photo of the groping it was all for comedy? How is that an apology?
Seriously, how hard is it to go through adult life and not grope a woman without her consent? It shouldn't be this difficult.

You have said this repeatedly the last few weeks (and I 100% agree with you). I just don't understand the mindset of some of these people being accused. It really does baffle me.

It's hard out there for a Senator.

I should amend my post in life of the Kevin Spacey's of the world and the guy who groped the actor from "Brooklyn Nine Nine" - apparently lack of personal self control is universal across genders, races, sexual orientation, and political parties- seriously, how hard is it to go through adult life and not grope a woman or a man without their consent? It shouldn't be that difficult.

If you think about it... it must be very hard. Otherwise we wouldn't see so many people getting nabbed for it.

And for those that say a preponderance of accusations makes for more credibility, this is apparently a pattern.

This appears to be a great way to get rid of dozens of politicians...
I hope this goes on for months and they all get run out of town

Like I hinted at before, this could be what leads to Trump leaving office.

I'll tell you what the joke is going to be by the LEFT
"Well I guess Franken should run for President then... Maybe the RIGHT would vote for him.."
Something about grabbin' pussies or whatever...
I can see it already

This is the best way to end the hysteria-
and go back to "nothing to see here"

I met Franken's wife (and Franken too) on a junket once in Vietnam.
She is lovely, funny and engaging (I get why that is immaterial, but...)
I know women are different with their spouses than they are with literally the rest of the world, but every now and then I have to scratch my head over some dudes who wander

Can’t we just stipulate the fact that all men are pigs and move on?
This entire storyline has become boring beyond belief.
