The Swedes feel they're well positioned to not lose standard of living/jobs to automation. Rather they'll gain efficiency and increase productivity. And yes, this thanks in part to us carrying the military lode the past 80 years but hey, they're are trade-offs for us all.

Still some pitfalls to avoid but interesting none the less, especially regarding cooperation between labor and management.

There are certain things computers cannot do and likely will never be able to do if they haven't been able to do them by now (we're reaching the ceiling created by real physical limits of how small you can make transistors and CPU parts). If you overestimate what AI can do in preparation for the future, that can be as dangerous as underestimating it.

Of course, the US as a country has never been proactive at all so for us it's a moot point.
