He made a solid point about the government funded leg up through the Homestead Act, college land grants, and crop subsidies. And no, I don't know how long those were supposed to remain valid excuses or if the field has been leveled through things like affirmative action. But the old boot straps/welfare whining by conks is rather hypocritical.dal4018 wrote:This is the MLK that black ppl should have seen in the early '60s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4vdfugMFbg&sns=tw
A very important sidenote that was the general idea I had a older brother to tell me that a white guy knew more about THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN than he did!!!!!!kalm wrote:He made a solid point about the government funded leg up through the Homestead Act, college land grants, and crop subsidies. The mainstream wants to keep their image of MLK going inspite of the fact they knew that was not the case he changed after a private meeting with ELIJAH MUHAMMAD and after that MLK took on the persona of MALCOLM X he became much more militant.andy7171 wrote:Why didn't they?
Okay I thought you was a supporter of the phony MLK image talking about INCLUSION.This was my way of simple agreement nothing more.kalm wrote:Whoa! I was saying the conservative trope of boostraps and welfare has hypocritical. I'm agreeing with MLK here.

This person and my brother were in the same age bracket (40s)so how was it that he knew about these black men and my brother did not!!!!!!CID1990 wrote:Are you saying that isn't possible?dal4018 wrote:A very important sidenote that was the general idea I had a older brother to tell me that a white guy knew more about THE TUSKEGEE AIRMEN than he did!!!!!!
Unless your older brother was actually a Tuskeegee Airman, then I'm guessing he wasn't alive during WWII, and therefore would get his info from the same places a white guy of similar age would.
I guarantee you I know more about the Tuskeegee Airmen than most people - white OR black
