ep. Trey Gowdy will leave Congress at the end of this year.
The South Carolina Republican will leave behind a committee chairmanship he only recently obtained, as well as a controversial legacy and a reliably GOP seat.
What he might have to look forward to is a possible judicial appointment.
Gowdy, from conservative Spartanburg, has for years made it no secret he chafed under Washington’s political mores and social codes, that he actually longed for the rules and practices of the legal world where he made his career for decades.

Fleeing to Moscow?
Trey Benghazi Gowdy - one of the architects of the downfall of American Democracy.
A jail cell is the best place for this lying sack of shit.

We hold our own.
I've got a buddy that looks like Mick Mulvaney. He's in DC this week and has taken a few photo's with tourists who have mistaken him for Mick.

He'd better get in line behind about 300 democrats then.

Pretty savvy tourists that can identify the Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
And to want a picture...

I'd be willing to bet it was people from the Carolina's that would be able to recognize a former Congressman and current, and recently public face from the administration.
This did take place at a Visitor Bureau event in DC and if I cared enough, i'd find the segment from ABC News last night. )
He could've been lying...then the picture his colleague took of the people getting their picture taken with him is really an elaborate lie.

I’ve got a client sponsored happy hour to get too. I hope the expense account can handle the good stuff.

I've liked Trey ever since his prosecutor days. He's a genuinely nice guy, with a steel trap mind. I never thought he would last long in DC. It is way too "gray" for him.

I think all of you can see how "pin head" literally fits Gowdy. How could you have a more pointy head?

Less fun to chair the Oversight Committee when your party is in charge of the White House and has no sense of ethics or accountability.
Second Oversight Committee chair to announce the end of their political career since Trump took office.
Just pass it to Nunes and be done with it.

Can you tell me what Obama, Hillary, Petraeus and Panetta were doing during the eight hours the consulate was being attacked?

Yeah it is definitely easier when it's the opposition party in power and they also have no sense of ethics or accountability.
