Two students injured, shooter killed. This isn't going to sit well with the people saying tighter school security is not the answer.

But this is probably a fake shooter anyway.

Early reports are the kid had a handgun - not going to sit well with the folks that think banning the AR-15 is the answer.

Shooting occurred just before classes begun - not going to sit well with students looking forward to today's lunch.

No one has said tighter security isn't AN answer. The issue has to be attacked from multiple angles.

Actually it helps. If the kid had an AR-15, there would have been deaths, and likely the School resource officers would not have been able to neutralize him.

So just the opposite - a great case for banning AR-15's

You mean like more armed teachers so that potential shooters can be attacked from multiple angles?

:D

There have been plenty of people saying armed personnel is schools is not part of any answer, let's be honest a little here.

Very possibly but that's pure speculation.

So we don't know that an AR can fire more rounds in a shorter amount of time than a handgun?

I have a semi-automatic, I know how fast they can shoot. But we don't know if there would have been deaths and that the officers would not have been able to neutralize the shooter. Possibly, but not for certain.

We don't know what kind of hand gun the shooter had either.
