"On the same hole, another member of the group, Sandra Harrison, said she spoke with a Grandview golf pro, who said they were fine since they were keeping pace with the group ahead of them.

Despite that, the women skipped the third hole to avoid any other issues, she said."

If they were keeping pace with the group in front of them, and then they skipped a hole, wouldn't that put them on the same hole as the group in front of them? :?

I hope I’m not going out on a limb here, but I’ve walked behind thousands of groups of black women in my lifetime.

None of those occasions got me where I was going faster or quieter.

Augusta National was well aware of this for decades.

That is all.

Tuesday used to be ladies day at Delcastle - no men allowed unless in a group with ladies. But the flip side - no women allowed on the course Saturday morning. And this is a public rec course owned (or at least at the time was owned) by New Castle County.

Based off that article - it sounds like the Chronisters need to chill the fuck out. It's golf, for crying out loud.

 You beat me to it. Something doesn't add up. As usual, we will probably only hear one side of this.

I have a question: How come when a violent crime occurs its not allowed that the newspaper put any description out that could be considered racist, so can't comment on white, black or brown....but in this case we know the races of EVERY. SINGLE. PARTICIPANT. WTF?

Golfers frequently and unabashedly lie to your face.

“There are 5 groups on number 3”.

“The group in front of us is 3 holes behind.”

“Your groundskeeper” or “Your Pro” or “Your course marshall (pc: player attendant) followed and harrassed my group all 18 holes”

:ohno:

We had corporate members at my last head pro gig and we had a slow play issue with a Korean member who had three guests out. In fairness, our course was way too difficult for an average player, so our rounds often exceeded four hours. But he and his guests took three hours to play the front nine. I had to go out because our marshals couldn't handle the situation. I got the be the guy who got yelled at for 10 minutes while I moved them up two holes. I certainly don't miss that part of the job... being berated by members and having to just take it.

Golf does not build character, it reveals it.
