Tesla Death Machines - Where is the Outrage?

So how long before the left goes after these vicious killing machines? They are killing people every week all over the world and its only a matter of time before they crash into a school bus or parade killing more people per second than any gun could ever dream of.
Where is the outrage? This is something that isnt a guaranteed right in the US Constitution and its something that we absolutely do not need. Why does it get a pass?

The only thing worse than such an unfettered, bold faced attempt to troll Clitz is that Clitz actually responded

I wasnt trolling the smug prick, its a legitimate question. When are people going to give a fuck about these cars that are killing people weekly.
What is the magic number that people will get to before they go all left wing on this SOB?

When they start killing more people than human drivers do. Which is likely never.

You have to break a few eggs to make an omlet.
Or something like that. You gotta kill some people to perfect the technology.

The founding fathers had no idea that a horse and buggy could do 120.

Agreed. I'm looking forward to every car being fully automated so I can kick my feet up and relax on the drive to work. That, or they perfect the single pilot drones so I can fly myself to work skirting over the treetops. That would work too. Darn Luddites like that guy who started this thread is stifling innovation. Probably a lawyer.

I am not looking forward to being around cars that are stuck on the speed limit.

Sure, till the boss figures out he can schedule meetings during that time and you have no excuse not to attend.

We could save as many lives by banning Jersey drivers.

It already happens now - Bluetooth in cars already exists. I've no problem with that, though, it's when they make it so that it's a video call and not just a phone conference that will bug me - I already pay little attention during the phone meetings now, can't hide on a video call though.

No worries - Alexa will tell me when I have to leave to be on time. Besides, if everyone is driving automated cars we'll all get there faster. It's humans and their sloppy reaction times that cause most of the gridlock and hence the delays today.

A computer program is just a set of instructions of how to perform arithmetic and logical operations on input data. It follows the instructions to the letter even when common sense would dictate something else. It's capacity to think is even less than the dimmest person.
If you've had an important email end up in your spam box or have had MS Word miss obvious mistakes you know how even computer than can process more information in a second than the population of New York city could in hours can still be dumber than the dimmest person.
I'm not convinced at all that these things won't create fewer wrecks per mile driven than people even with all the teenagers and morons on the roads. And I'm not convinced that in trying to make these things that they won't run into basically the same programming conundrums that people in AI research are in that have told us we'd have iRobot-style machines doing all the work by now.

Just send back a static shot of you where ever you are, smiling and paying attention then go back to sleep or whatever you do on phone conferences.

However,
self-driving cars don’t get tired, angry, frustrated or drunk...
and they outperform average inattentive human drivers already
The door has been opened - it's too late to turn back now

I am of two minds on it. Every other week I have a 5 hour round trip drive to some of our other facilities and it is nice to do some work during that time. On the other hand almost all of the calls involve a presentation that one should pay attention to and that is a bit distracting while driving.
