I don't care what you think of Chris Cillizzia from CNN - he may be a liberal (nothing wrong with that) but he does a good job at taking some of Trump's quotes from rallies and laying them out (albeit out of context. But i'm not sure context matters). Trump really says nothing in his speeches. He spouts BS, how awesome he is and how he won an election in 2016.

I don't recall Obama or Bush talking about their win so often and so far removed from the election. Maybe i'm wrong. The election was 500+ days ago.We know you won.

Honestly, the only political speech (of a politician in the last 30 years) I have ever listened completely though was one by George W Bush when he visited NDSU, as I was in the audience. Otherwise I have only listened to snippets of them here and there. Usually I prefer to read the transcripts of them and in all of them they pretty much don't deviate far from the nothing of substance/expected course.

I don't think you are wrong on the matter of Trump puffing himself up more than Presidents/politicians in the past, but that is who he is and who his base expects. And it seems to be working because as soon as he opens his mouth (or phone) he is at the top of the news and it drowns out everything else that is going on. It does have the added benefit of making those who oppose him speak their true feels. He is kryptonite to the left.

If we listed all the crap Trump says, this will soon be the longest thread in this boards history.
