Sessions is a proponent of big, intrusive government and his take on asset forfeiture alone should have insured that he never held any position within the legislative or executive branches

I wonder what Whitaker's position on asset forfeiture is?

Does anyone know his position on much of anything (other than Mueller probe)? :suspicious:

Given that asset forfeiture without due process enjoys support on both sides, I'd say that there's a 90% chance that Whitaker is no different

This is just another indication of how thoroughly corrupt Trump is. I still shake my head at people who voted for Trump because they thought Clinton is corrupt. It's like deciding to buy an elephant because you think a cow is too big.

No she’s not, John. She’s terrible. She’s a Democratic face on the corporatism, colonialism, and militarism that is American politics...just like Hillary, Boxer, Schumer, McConnell, Cruz, Booker, Romney, Etc.

In all seriousness, though, who's really upset with this? Sessions was likely one of Trump's worst appointees. I never cared for Sessions as a Senator, let alone the top prosecutor in the land. Hopefully this works out as a way to correct that original mistake. Now, if Trump's doing this to cover-up something, well, for one, it's one of the worst ways to do that and two, it won't work. But that's more conspiracy theory right now. I'm just glad a poor AG is leaving.
I honestly might like him more than the AGs of any of the last 3 administrations, but that's a pretty low bar.

Doesn't matter, though...Trump's not looking to get someone more competent or with a different stance on pot. He wants someone who will put heat on Mueller, and in that way you could end up with someone worse.
Trump just needs to appoint someone that will be his wingman. ;)

Competent has little bearing on being the best person or right person for the job. I'm competent..but I shouldn't be CEO or the business owner within my organization.

You couldn't be more wrong. Women in power isn't the problem. It's the person. Pelosi is the wrong person to try and lead the Democratic Party. She may have the experience and skill set...but if you want the Democratic Party to move forward...you might want to try getting someone that's less extreme, old, hated by her own party, etc...

Pelosi is just not what's needed.
