Look at JSO, stepping up to the plate. What you don’t know UNDERSTAND about Hitler and Nazism could fill volumes. You may know something but you sure as **** don’t understand it. And to suggest that we are living under a Hitler is just false.

Please show me people being rounded up and forced into ghettos or camps.

Show me the racial purity laws that have been proposed and/or signed into law.

Show me the social programs like Social Security or vast infrastructure programs that have come out of this administration.

Has the GOP usurped government?

Please correlate Nazi policies to something Trump has done.

Did you not notice that I wrote that I don't think what happened with Hitler can happen with us because of our system? And on one of your questions: Do you think it implausible that we WOULD be seeing people rounded up and put into ghettos or camps if Trump could do whatever he wants?

And more importantly: Do you doubt that there would be a large number of people who would be all for it if he were able to do it?

What do you think it would look like if our system did not encumber Trump from doing whatever he wants to do?

So he's like Hitler but you can't back that up with facts. Christ, JSO. You're unhinged.

Make no mistake, Trump is horrible leader and seemingly to be morally bankrupt. But he is no Hitler. Not by a long shot.

You mean the way FDR did with the Japanese Americans (when the same protections against it were in place)?

Yes, I think it is implausible and it is pure speculation on your part

Well, if you think it's implausible that Trump would do that given his antics with respect to people coming here to claim asylum we will just have to agree to disagree. To me he's OBVIOUSLY willing to do things like that.

Always someone else’s....And now he’s spent the past two years taking CREDIT for everything accomplished by Trump (including **** he said was NOT possible). Obama is the **** poster child when it comes to Hitler-esque politics.
There is no way Obama crowds were mind numbed zombies like Trump crowds are. Anybody who has watched Trump rallies knows that. By "scapegoating" I mean zeroing in on things like illegal immigrants and muslims. With Hitler it was the Jews.

All Obama's said about the economy stuff is that the turnaround occurred during his Administration. And it's the truth. And what has Trump accomplished that Obama said was not possible? I'm guessing it's something like people saying that sustained 3% GDP growth rate was not possible. Maybe it is and maybe it's not. But it hasn't happened under the Trump Administration so I don't know how that relates.

Anyway, what did Obama himself say was not possible that you say has been done?

If you want to look for bullshit you need look no farther than Trump saying the economy was a mess before he took over and now it's turned around and is great. It was not a mess before he took over and it's pretty much the same economy now as it's been for the past 10 years.

What do you know about Hitler, really?

I said during the campaign and I say it now: I do see similarities between the Hitler phenomenon and the Trump phenomenon. I've said all along that I don't think what happened with Hitler can happen here. I think our system is too robust. But when I see Trump and the crowds at Trump rallies that does very much remind me of the old videos of Hitler at Hitler rallies. The demagogue and the mind numbed zombies responding to his demagoguery.

Also, I think he is similar in his scapegoating tactics.

But I have always been more concerned about having 40 something percent of the American population respond as Hitler's audiences responded than by Trump himself. The problem is much more with the American population than it is with Trump himself. Fortunately it's not a majority. But it's a darned big minority and it's very disconcerting.
Here's where you are wrong. Hitler blamed the Jews for losing the war, bread lines, poor economy, everything that was going wrong in the country. Trump hasn't blamed illegal immigrants for that shit. Trump has blamed Obama. But guess what? Obama blamed Bush. Bush blamed Clinton. Clinton blamed...you get where I'm going with this. Trump blamed leadership, not a group of people for the problem.

Actually, the only person that I can think of that has called out a group of people as the problem was HRC calling people deplorable and blaming them. Maybe Hillary is Hitler.

Trump has clearly blamed illegal immigrants for things. And it's not just "illegal" immigrants. Remember: People who come here asking for asylum are not illegal immigrants. What he's done is talk about crime, murder, etc. You know, exploiting things like the Kate Steinle thing where it is clear that the illegal immigrant did not intentionally shoot her but Trump and others point to it as an example of the vicious illegal immigrants randomly killing people.

Jesus. You, the self proclaimed libertarian, have become a full on, cock-sucking Obama apologist. Never thought I’d see the day.
Look, I voted against Obama both times and if given the choices available at the time I'd vote against him both times again. But the fact is that Obama took over at a time when the economy was moving in a downward direction and it pretty quickly changed to an upward direction when he was in office. That is not what happened with Trump. Trump took over when the economy was moving in an upward direction and it has continued to move in an upward direction.

It's just the objective truth. There's absolutely no reason to say that Trump deserves credit for the economy "turning around" because it didn't "turn around." Most of the decline in unemployment happened during the Obama administration. GDP has pretty much continued at a rate consistent with the rates of previous years during the current recovery. Job creation has pretty much continued at a rate consistent with rates of previous years during the current recovery. So on and so forth.

This thing of Trump taking over when the economy was "bad" and transforming it to "good" is just complete nonsense. Meanwhile, Obama DID take over when the economy was "bad." Whether he caused it or not it distinctly did change direction to at least "reasonably good" while he was in office. Again: It's just the truth.

The economy turned around while Obama was in office, not while Trump was in office. That's just the reality.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

No. JSO is comparing Hitler's use of jews as a scapegoat for everything to Trump xenophibia. It's not the same. Trump isn't having rally after rally saying ALL of because of illegals. It isn't the same thing.

He blamed crime on illegals and he doesn't want them here. He isn't rounding them all up, as well as other groups he hates. He isn't building work camps and killing millions of people. It's not the same. JSO is wrong. He may know about Hitler but he sure as shit doesn't understand Hitler or Nazism.
