Further proof that the GOP is out of touch with reality

Trump had zero plan going into this and got the results he was prepared for. The comic relief of this presidency is not really worth the travel budget at this point. Did Trump at least get some hookers and bro?

In the past these summits had been finalized through month or year long negotiations, and the actual meeting of nations is for signing the documents, press conferences, etc.

I was a little stunned they went in there thinking they'd get something in a day or two. But in the end it makes sense as this administration has literally been laughed at on the world stage.

Neither. It was nothing and a complete waste of US taxpayer money. Trump wasn't prepared to deal, and he wasn't intelligent enough (and thank God the handlers didn't leave him alone with KJU) to negotiate at the table. Let's face it: Trump is just affirming that he's the mental midget we've known the past 40 years. He has one purpose at this point, nominating conservative judges, and he's doing good there.
