Americans Are Dumbies

The two most important subjects in school might be civics and personal finance.
“Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government.” So wrote Thomas Jefferson in 1789.
But if Jefferson were to read the results of the latest survey from the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, he might seriously doubt modern America’s capacity for self-governance. It shows that most Americans would fail even a basic citizenship test

I’ve been saying for years that the loss of civics courses in the schools is a serious problem.
We now have people in Congress (and a President, Clitz) now who are poster children for civic ignorance.
It is only going to get worse

I've run into that with millennials. There was a person I know that was part of a big event in my hobby. Everyone knew it, saw the evidence at the time, and many stories were written, pictures taken. This millennial comes along and says, where is the videos, the third party documentation. He doesn't believe it happened.

Well GenX are 50 years old....and Millenials are in their 30s......so yeah, at some point the Baby Boomers are going to have to hand over the reigns.....although I did see where Yale researchers are creating pig zombies.
