Of course. But they'll change their tactics. In fact, our government is trying to prepare for Russian interference, but the Cheeto in Chief won't listen to anyone or accept it.

I'm sure the Russians have been meddling ever since 1917. I'm sure we meddle too. It happens all the time, it's what countries, especially big ones on the world stage, do.

Many of the bad info meme's on facebook, are reported to be of Russian origin.

I heard this from a fairly reputable and unbiased source as well (can’t remember who).

And boy howdy...the bad info...she is a flowin’ on my feed. Another reason I appreciate this place. You get your shit checked real fast.

While I despise the SS program in general and i DO believe I could do much better with the $7,850 that's taken out of my check every year, there's no WAY those numbers are even close to reality.

SSI is capped every year. Max that gets taken out (and it's come UP every year) is currently about $7,500. There's no WAY to get to $600,000 paid in unless you work and pay into the system for about 60 years. Their first number is a non-starter.

I think it depends on if you are counting just the employee share or both employer and employee. Since it says "on my behalf" I would take it as both. If it is both then it's possibly true.

True. But to get that you'd have to max it out for 35 years. Not a ton of people doing that.
