A survey by TotalJobs found that three out of four people want all physical contact banned at work. The idea is to remove confusion over what kind of touch is appropriate.
Some companies are now considering whether they should prohibit handshakes.
This made me think of the stupid Sylvester Stallone movie (is that redundant?) Demolition Man. It was somewhat entertaining because it had a good supporting cast (Snipes, Bullock, warden from Shawshank...) but what made it so dumb was the view of a futuristic society where foul language and violence of any kind were against the law and even physical contact like sex was frowned upon. Doesn't seem so far fetched all of a sudden.
