I mean here is a Republican Gov in a very blue state that won a second term with relative ease and a larger margin than his first term (55.4% to 43.5% without really having any expensive advertising that I saw) and honestly I don't think I've seen one negative thing said about him in 5 years. But if he ran for POTUS, I'm sure folks could dig something up.

For full disclosure, I don't think I could ever vote D in a POTUS election. I'm NOT a straight ticket voter. I've put a check next to quite a few Dems in local elections, even ones where they actually is a GOP candidate. So any D candidate for POTUS is unsuitable to me.
