Google Busted

Post by Pwns »

Leaked documents show, among other things, that Google employees were conspiring to make it more difficult for people to see videos made by conservatives and called two Jewish guys and a Canadian psychologist whose biggest sin is refusing to use trans pronouns "nazis".

But they'll stop at going after white nationalists like Richard Spencer and nuts like Alex Jones, right?

I use Bing, but I have a feeling that would not be nearly as effective a strategy used en masse as not buying a mom and pop shop's cakes. Especially since Google owns Youtube and has their adsense revenue.

Maybe someday progressives will figure out Google can control what information people see in a manner they won't like and then they won't be so cavalier about a tech company playing ministry of truth.

Newsbusters.org is not a credible source.

I used Opera. And I saw some thinga about Google employees arguing that sources such as the Daily Caller and Brietbart are not legitimate news sources.

I think they were correct in their assessment.

If you are identifiable as a "conservative" news source you are saying up front that you are not objective. You are not legitimate.

Document. Singular. One single fucking email. Liam Hopkins busted.

Do we know how the company or anyone else responded to him in the email chain? Did they think it was a good idea, bad idea, against their policies?

I think Perderson is an honest actor and truth seeker. Shapiro, while quite compelling at times and at least often consistent is a propagandist none the less. And yes...those exist on the left.

It's bad when Google influences people's viewing but ok for Comcast and other internet providers to do it.

What about all those that proudly identify as a “progressive” news source? Are they legitimate? Asking for a friend.

At this point, it’s probably more honest to self identify political leanings as a news source vs. establishment media that pretends to not be agenda driven. It’s up to the consumer to read between the lines with a healthy dose of skepticism.

The Russians are a far distant threat to our elections than internal threats like this. To think we used to make fun of Pravda & the Iraqi Minister of Information & that's what our country has become....

No they are being censored by Big Tech, which is kinda the point of the OP.

The vid has a Google higher up talking about how they want to tip the scale against Trump in 2020...

...oh look Reddit just censored the biggest pro-Trump thread on the internets:
Reddit's largest pro-Trump community, r/the_donald, was quarantined Wednesday morning following a deluge of posts that violate the site's content policy. This announcement was made in a post attached to the top of the subreddit, whose 754,000 subscribers have made it one of the most formidable and controversial communities on Reddit.
