Hmmm. You are making the argument for the border wall along the Mexican border.

Easy - California like laws nationwide.

So now you are for the border wall with Mexico. :thumb:

California can say that it was not a failure of THEIR law. THEIR law prohibits that weapon. The failure, they can say, is associated with the fact that someone can buy a gun like that in Nevada.

Exactly!

We need national reciprocity just like drivers licenses. It's our right and states have infringed too much, it's time to take it back.

But you have already said you wouldn't respect a change to the law. So it doesn't matter. The second amendment could be repealed tomorrow and you wouldn't give up your guns. So stop pretending like you would, idiot.

Which in 18th century jargon meant proficient in arms. You anti gun nuts are too ignorant to know that.

The standard soldier’s small arms weapon has always been legal to purchase, so an AR should be able to be purchased ANYWHERE. You don’t want one? Simple- don’t buy one.

The AR is nowhere near a "standard soldier's small arms weapon", nor is it an 'assault rifle". It's a fucking scary looking .223. One might go so far as to say gun control nuts are racist because its scary and black. :coffee: :coffee:

AZ did you know that "AR" stands for assault rifle?

Me either but I was educated on Facebook by a very knowledgeable highly educated anti gunner. Armalite will be very interested in hearing this

True about not an assault rifle and gun control zealots are against it because it looks scary and is black, but It is very similar/related to an M4, which the last I heard was still the standard small arms infantry weapon.

If you parse the language you can see that it does not make a militia, well regulated or otherwise, a condition of the right. It just cites the need for a well regulated militia as the reason for the right. It doesn't say someone has to be in a militia in order to have the right.

It's kind of moot though because we set precedents of infringing on the right already. It doesn't say "guns" for instance. It says "arms." We already established the precedent of saying it's OK for the Federal government to prohibit possession of many arms based on their potential for destruction. There's no real change in principle in going from saying "no automatic weapons" to saying "no semi-automatic weapons."

Most people that post on here could care less how many Americans die from gun violence. It's all about THEM.....which of course means if their wife or girlfriend or son or daughter or grandson or granddaughter were shot and killed in an act of random gun violence......they would be screaming at the top of their lungs.

No, my wife and girlfriend both carry, so I dont need to worry about them. If they did get shot at least they were not a victim.

I only care about number that matter, like deaths from doctors and cars. 9k a year in a cou try of 330 million is a statistical anomaly and not even worth debating.

Neil deGrasse Tyson nailed it with his tweet but people are simply too irrational to get his point. On average there are 29 drunk driving deaths a day in the US. So that's El Paso and Dayton every day, every week, every month, every year. People only care about the mass shootings more because it's political and on the news all day.

A kid gets run over by a drunk driver in Iowa and nobody outside of Iowa hears about it. A kid falls into a well in Iowa and the entire country is riveted until he is rescued. Go figure.
