Kudos to Cardinal Newman HS for promptly expelling him.

On Monday, WOLO reported that a 16-year-old South Carolina student has been expelled from the Cardinal Newman School, banned from the property, and faces criminal charges following a violent, racial-slur-laden social media post in which he shoots a box of shoes representing black people.

“Howdy. I’m Parker Mustian, and I hate black prople,” he can be heard saying in the video as he loads a rifle. “They’re the worst. They’re stinky and they just suck. They’re just bad people. You’ll notice over there, there’s a box of Jordans — the favorite pair of shoes for a black man. I’m gonna show you what I think of the black man.”

“F**k all n*****s,” he adds after shooting the box several times.

He is the grandson of Richard Quinn, a legendary GOP strategist (and Lindsey Graham advisor), and the son of Benjamin Mustian, a prominent Columbia attorney.

On further research, Cardinal Newman didn't expel him - they allowed him to withdraw

Of course the family insists he is not racist..

Sources close to Mustian’s family tell us the young man is not a hateful person by nature, but was part of a group of boys who made videos purely for “shock value.”

“The idea was to see who could be the most outlandishly, ridiculously offensive,” the source told us. “They weren’t being serious.”

Mustian was arrested last month by officers of the Richland County sheriff’s department in connection with alleged threats made against the school.

According to deputies, Mustian threatened to “shoot up the school’’ after he was expelled for his involvement in racist videos and text messages.

Cardinal Newman did not notify parents until 10:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, August 2, 2019 – when The State was publishing its first story on the matter.

I remember this story. The police were notified and the confiscated the weapons from the home. The police acted quickly.


I recall a few days after Columbine, some kid either joked about a hit list or someone said this one kid had a hit list. The rumor started during home room. By the end of the first period, he and his friends had been taken in for questioning. No list was found. No guns were found. No guns at the homes. The accused kid ended up leaving the school. I heard later, during college that this asshole in our class had made it all o up as a joke.

You know what I love about this story...is that all of these events are about a month old. It's only news b/c of last weekend. However here, you see LE being proactive.

Its a legal matter. Can't get sued for a withdrawal.

More news because the parents at Newman just found out about the threats to the school and there was a meeting Monday at the school.
