"Deplorables" are going to be less and less interested in the Donk party as the urban elite takes more control and focuses more on minorities and immigrants. The Donk party can either address it or write them off. It's unfortunate but I think they're writing them off. Conks aren't much different though.

OK. Your usual response. Both sides do it, and the devil take the hindmost.
I never even suggested that the government should do anything about it. In fact, you proved my point: demographic and cultural/political factors are to blame for party imbalances in various states, and there isn’t much that can be done about it.
You never suggested the government should do anything about it just like I never said it was something that had to be fixed. Not all issues/concerns need to be corrected.
Demographic and cultural/political factors contribute to the situation but there are other factors such as technology creating the ability for people to get their news and interaction in echo chambers where they start to believe their opinions are facts. That genie is out of the bottle and isn't going back in.
I think there are things that could be done about it but I don't think they will be. The core of both parties is ok with writing off those that don't fit the party narrative.
