I expected to see a thread on this. I looked a little and didn't see it. Where is it being discussed?

Trump screwed up by nixing the Iran deal. It's becoming more and more apparent. They are ramping up their nuclear program and causing a lot more shit now . His action most certainly did NOT make things better.

I was against the way the Iran deal transpired. But I don't think I'd say it was not "official." Anyway, I do not think we are in a better place with respect to Iran right now as a result of Trump's decisions. I think we are closer to having Iran with nuclear weapons right now than we would be if Trump had just left things as they were. Also, I do not think we'd have had things like the spate of oil tankers being damaged and this Saudi oil production thing.css75 wrote:JohnStOnge wrote:Ok. I'll start:

That deal Obama made was never official and was terrible. Trump had nothing to do with how those lunatics behaved. Look at things rationally once in awhile instead of TDS.

Oh, they’re going to have nuclear weapons alright. Just not in the way they imagined.JohnStOnge wrote:I was against the way the Iran deal transpired. But I don't think I'd say it was not "official." Trump screwed up. At some point you are going to have to admit it.

You just resurrected the old lefty “we should be nice to them on their own terms so they don’t do bad things” Cold War Soviet pablum
I didn’t think there was anyone left with that old school intellectual bankruptcy but I guess I was wrong
You’re like Tip Klam O’Neil himself

Treaties have to be ratified by Congress, that was not. Those loons are crazy and would be acting out regardless who was in WH. They were not following the agreement anyway.JohnStOnge wrote:I was against the way the Iran deal transpired. But I don't think I'd say it was not "official." https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/17/middleea ... index.htmlRiyadh, Saudi Arabia (CNN)Saudi and US investigators have determined "with very high probability" that the weekend attack on the Saudi oil industry was launched from an Iranian base in Iran close to the border with Iraq, according to a source familiar with the investigation.
The attack involved cruise missiles flying at low altitude, the source said, and their trajectory was from the north of the Abqaiq complex, which was struck by more than a dozen projectiles in the early hours of Saturday morning. The source added that there is absolutely no indication that these missiles came from a southern area and especially not one as far as Yemen.
The missiles, according to the investigators' current assessment, flew over southern Iraq and through Kuwaiti airspace before reaching their targets. The trajectory would imply that the launch point of the attack was being masked.

Did someone invade and annex another country? How is the press not reporting on this??Chizzang wrote:Remember Iraq 1991 / Same / Samebluehenbillk wrote:We supply enough military aid to the Saudis that they can handle whatever response they deem appropriate.
