Look at all the conservative garbage that the Dems have put up in the primary

Even European conservatives joke at how conservative our "left" actually is. This nation is so far behind other developed nations that we think people like Warren and Sanders are actually "far left". And our right are just extremists at this point.
Step out of your social media echo chamber.
We are so far behind that people are risking their lives to illegally cross our border to enter the country, not leave it. Look into the mirror. What you see there is the problem. You are the outlier. You are the extremist. Do yourself and your family a favor. Seek help.

People risk their lives because the US - and Canada - are the only first world nations in the Americas. My comparison was to Europe, which has even more immigration than we do.

It's purely geography. Canada and the US are beacons in our part of the world, but we'll always get the brunt of it because we actually border Central America. Europe is a beacon in their part.

I like to compare the US to first world nations, not developing ones. If you want developing nations to be your baseline comparison for social, political, and economic freedom...you do you.

Actually, it proves the point that Europe now has more immigrants than the US.

Although on second thought, let's take Russia out of the equation for a ton of reasons. That leaves the US with 5 million more immigrants than just the European nations on that one chart.

That still leaves 36 European nations (micro-nations not included) to come up with 5 million immigrants. I'm sure between Belgium and Portugal and Greece and Poland and Austria and Hungary and all of Scandinavia and every other European nation, we can come up with that number.

Wouldn't you think % of population would be more valid since Europe has almost twice as many people even taking Russia out?

Canada = 21.0
US = 15.1
UK = 12.9
Spain = 12.7
Germany = 12.5
France = 12.3
Italy = 9.8
Turkey = 5.3

Oops.

No, this is the US. Land mass matters more than the population. :coffee:

Arbitrarily picked it. It's halfway through a normal pregnancy. Plus, it's long enough to know they're pregnant (the 6 week thing is ridiculous)….

Sorry, but many of the 36 European nations left aren't "first world countries", and according to your standards, we don't want to compare ourselves to those barbarians. :tothehand:

Yeah but let’s face it. Most of the American South and North Idaho are barely 1st world. :kisswink:

Well, I said arbitrarily, then gave two reasons why I picked it, so I guess not totally arbitrarily. :lol:

And yes, to me it is THE defining problem with pro choice....I had a niece who was born 16 weeks premature. That’s just BARELY over halfway through a normal pregnancy....She weighed 1 lb 6 oz....She lived 36 years.

So which non-EU countries on that chart are you using to come up with that? Or is that just bush hog arithmetic?

There's nothing slippery about it -

If you just tally up the EU countries on that chart you don't wind up with the number you got

So again, which of those non-EU countries do you think are in Europe? Saudi Arabia?
