I thought about fitting this in with another thread. But what the heck. Trump lies so much that there really should be a thread devoted to just posting examples of him lying and getting caught at it. This one is priceless (you just have to watch through about 1 minute 5 seconds in):

No it doesn't belong there because there have been and will be plenty of examples where Trump obviously lies with respect to completely different subject areas and gets caught at it.

I actually did think about posting that video in the Whistleblower thread. But then I thought: "No. This guy lies about EVERYTHING."

Nice try but it's a fail. Obama was/is nowhere near as prolific a liar as Trump is. One manifestation of that is the Politifact file on each. For Obama it's 47% of statements evaluated true or mostly true, 24% false or mostly false, and 1% pants on fire.

For Trump it's 15% true or mostly true, 56% false or mostly false, and 14% pants on fire.

Of course I know Trump Cultists will just say Politifact is the "liberal media" (which it is not) with a "liberal bias" (which it does not have).

Another thing: When Obama said that people could keep their doctors we don't know that was a lie because there is a possibility that he thought that would be the case at the time. When Trump says he talked to Mitch McConnell recently about something when he did not we know that is a lie. Trump knew McConnell didn't tell him that. Or when Trump said the NFL sent him a letter expressing concern over the campaign debate schedule and the NFL said "no we didn't." We know Trump knew the NFL didn't send him a letter. Or when Trump stood there and told reporters he didn't know anything about the hush money payments to porn stars and later audio emerged of him discussing it with Cohen. We know that he knew he knew about the payments when he told the reporters he didn't. On and on.

It's not close. Obama is nowhere NEAR as prolific a liar as Trump is. Trump is at a whole 'nuther level when it comes to blatant, bald-faced lying.

There's this thing with Trump fans where they try to point to somebody else and say somebody else was just as bad. But nobody else was just as bad.

The idea that this is all somehow "thrust" onto him and he's a "victim"
is perhaps the most myopic denial of the obvious I've seen in years

Trump faces more scrutiny because his predecessors didn't do the stuff he does.
