Will she or won’t she? POLL

Fox News (but of course) put out a story to the effect that the Hildabeast will jump into the 2020 race if she is certain she can win. She thinks the field is too weak to beat Drumpf.
Rematch, anyone?
Anyway, it’s not real unless the CS.com politicos say it’s real. Have at it!

I think she will. The butthurt from 2008 and 2016 is strong.

Testing the waters but also might be waiting to see who she would be running against in the general.

Why did Michelle Obama wear a white coat to Cummings' funeral?

Depending on where Barr's investigation goes determines if she jumps in. If it starts tracking back to her she gets in so she can claim the investigation is a political witch hunt (pun intended) against her.

If we end up with Clinton versus Trump again then we can call Democracy a failed experiment. Or at least the schit process of choosing nominees in the major parties.

We're not a democracy.

Even her Dem pals in the Senate are giving this the stink eye. No way she jumps in.. she may want to but I can’t think of any sane person in her circle that would encourage it. Plus, if it starts to look like she will, the anti Hillary Dems will get louder.
Plus, Obama will probably throw an endorsement to Warren for the ultimate pie in the face
If she wants to maintain a shred of dignity she’ll stay out of it and go back to blaming everybody (Russian assets galore) but herself for 2016

I think she would love to get in, but she won’t get the support , so she doesn’t. She would however not object to being drafted at the convention. Her best role would be whining, complaining, lying, and blaming those in election. Also, executing critics and those who could help Barr.

I voted she will with this in mind strictly for the entertainment value it will provide.

She's not going to run. There is no such thing as a field that is too weak to have a chance to beat Trump. Yes, it'd be good if they had an Obama. Yes, it's not the BEST field.
But a flipping cypress knee would have a chance to beat Trump because the majority of the country is in "anybody but Trump" mode right now.

I don't think I"m the one in the State of denial if you don't realize just how weak a candidate Donald Trump is. Yes, it's disappointing that that the Democrats haven't been able to come up with better than they've come up with. But Trump is a really, really weak candidate for an incumbent who is in office when people feel that the economy is doing OK. Most people simply do not want him as President

But, just like 2016, they want one of those lame Donk candidates even less.

PPP’s new national poll, conducted on behalf of EDF Action, finds that Donald Trump has a 40/55 approval spread and trails a generic Democratic opponent 52-41 for reelection. These numbers are about as bad as we’ve ever found for him, and indicate there’s no backlash coming from the movement of House Democrats toward impeachment in the last week.

So I assume you voted no. Great. Now get out of my thread.

Too bad we don't elect by popular vote, huh?
Don't underestimate the ability of Democrats to find away to beat themselves.

Yes, it IS too bad we don't elect by popular vote as the electoral college system is clearly obsolete and inappropriate for the country as it exists today. Also it's not even operating as it was conceived.
I do not under estimate the ability of the Democrats to beat themselves any more than I under estimate the ability of the Republicans to beat themselves. Right now both Parties are largely captive to the most passionate segments of their bases. It causes them to tend to reject the candidates that would stand the best chances in the general elections.
All I am saying is that the Democrats could put up a cypress knee and it would have a chance to beat Trump. He's an unpopular President who is absolutely despised by a large percentage of the population. There are more people who intensely want him out than there are who intensely want him in. He won those three key States....Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin...by extremely thin margins. And he didn't win a majority of the votes in any of those three States. It was more a matter of people switching to third party than it was people switching to Republican.
And, again, it happened in the context of that situation in which Comey dropped that bomb shortly before the election. It was a unique set of circumstances that are not going to be replicated.
He's a very vulnerable incumbent; especially considering the fact that people perceive the economy as being good.

Thank you for the analysis, Mrs. Clinton.

Given half a chance I think she would try in a heartbeat. Right now it looks like she is just gauging the reactions to the potential.
I don't think most of the Democrats are thrilled at the idea as it distracts from their own campaign (if they are running) or the party message as a whole. Priority seems to be what is best for Hillary first and second, followed by the Democratic party objectives last.
