I’m more concerned about the loss of cultural value in concepts such as the Enlightenment

There are cultures and religions that are inimical to that... and in that respect, if they die off then good

Presbyterians, Methodists, and Episcopalians haven’t lost members to the Evangelical churches. Rather, young people haven’t signed on, and disaffected older members just drop out.

The oldest targets and easiest targets are the ones that are "exempt" from criticism such as "religion"
so it makes for a great example - that which cannot be criticized

1) religion
2) patriotism
3) female sex or gender

These things ^ are the easiest to toss in the sacred pile of beyond criticism

Is the number of evangelicals really dropping? I would guess that the Americans who are reproducing are evangelicals and immigrants.

Let's specifically talk #2 as it is the more important point.

If accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior only covers 75% of your sins, then that means Jesus didn't get the job done.
