I heard that last night after the game. Was hoping to hear the censored parts. It's nice to see rich people squirm.

I took it as more of a way to boost future viewership than anything. It had been bleeding ratings for years.

Just a guess on my part, but I don't think anyone who is picked to host a major prime time Hollywood awards show is somehow being shunned by Hollywood.

Hollywood (whatever that means)
Isn't as dimwitted and myopic as its loudest dumbest voices
Just like the Fox News echo chamber isn't as myopic and dimwitted as its loudest voices

more than half that audience was loving that roasting by Gervais
and some weren't

Things aren't as small and stupid as they seem to be
and they try hard to seem that way - but there is light in each group
