Have to agree with Romney here, and honestly this is a better plan than suspending evictions or anything like that. There's basically no threat of inflation and if we can give banks $1.5 trillion why not split a trillion among every adult in America? Also a good thing for Trump to do in an election year.
Hellz yes. That's another AR-15, a thousand rounds and ten 30-round mags. Sign me up.

If only we could find some way to make Chinese people stop slaughtering bats and doing their other gross shit that they do in those wet markets.

I think at this point we should be able to agree that the wet market thing is causing more problems than any of that other stuff. And this situation is relatively mild with respect to what could happen.

I couldn't listen to all of Hogan's presser, but definitely restaurants and bars, gyms, theaters... grocery and gas will stay open.
From what Hogan said
shutdown of all bars, restaurants, movie theaters and gyms in Maryland, effective at 5 p.m.,

The order limiting gatherings to 50 people applies to social, community, religious and recreational or sports activities.

Sunday, Hogan also ordered the shutdown of the state’s casinos, racetracks and off-track betting parlors
Hogan’s order would allow drive-thru, carryout and food delivery service to continue.

Grocery stores, banks, pharmacies, gas stations and other essential services would remain open.
https://www.baltimoresun.com/coronaviru ... story.html

Sounds typical of what a lot of states are doing. So far PA gov has ordered similar for the 4 surburban Philly counties, but not the whole state.
I wonder if hotels are considered essential? I wonder if any states closing them down? I know Vegas has closed large casino hotels. I'm talking run of the mill chain hotels around airports, in downtowns, near interstates, etc..You'd think if commercial passenger air travel hasn't been shut down, then at least hotels around airports would be open.

You go to a hotel in a state/area that has ordered (sit down) restaurants shutdown. Do they still serve breakfast? That's a good question..

Restaurants still allowed to do drive-up orders. Pay electronically/credit card. Food in a sealed container left at a drop site.

Well, I am moving to work at home, along with most of my coworkers. We have a few people who have to man the office and they have restrictions like keeping six feet apart while working. Fun times.

PA gov extends shutdown order to whole state. From my local paper:
The Wolf administration's definition of nonessential businesses includes community and recreation centers; gyms, including yoga, barre and spin facilities; hair salons, barbers, nail salons and spas; casinos; concert venues; theaters; bars; sporting event venues and golf courses; retail facilities, including shopping malls, except for pharmacies or other health care facilities within retail operations.

Licensed child care centers, except those in Philadelphia, must shut down. Adult day care centers and senior community centers also must close.

Restaurants can remain open for carry-out, drive-thru and delivery orders, and shut down dine-in service.

The administration said essential services and sectors include, but are not limited, to food processing; agriculture; industrial manufacturing; feed mills; construction; trash collection; grocery stores; convenience stores; retailers of household goods; home repair, hardware and auto repair stores; pharmacy and other medical facilities; biomedical and health care facilities; post offices and shipping outlets; insurers; banks; gas stations; laundromats; veterinary clinics and pet stores; warehousing, storage, and distribution facilities; public transportation; and hotel and commercial lodging.
I assume a lot of states are/will be similar..

The tip off to me that this thing was going to be bad was when the Norks closed their border with the chinks. I figured they has some inside info or something and knew this thing wasn't something to ignore.

One empire is ascending the other is in decline, nothing hyprerbolic about that, even by your standards. In 10/15 years you'll be able to walk from Cairo, IL, to China on the line of freighters carrying soybeans, they're dredging the port right now. They've been planning for this time since right after WW2 while what passes for leadership in the big bidniz community here hasn't been able to look past the quarterly P&L sheet for the past 75 years.

That’s not the point, turddropper

Why do you feel so compelled (twice on the same post) to defend the Chicoms?

I don't - that's just you experiencing that "not so fresh feeling". Why do you feel compelled to underestimate our greatest enemy? Or did you not notice that they are now the dominant power on the planet without firing a shot and widening the gap as we speak?

The difference being that H1N1 is an influenza which we've seen before and know how to treat. The Spanish Flu on 1918 was H1N1. There was an outbreak of it in the 1970s in the USA.

COVID-19 is new to humans.

Two different things. Although, I do agree with the media adding to the hysteria.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17
