There were still uncertainties and Again...more strictly enforced protocols. Try explain to folks that they’re kids can go to school but they shouldn’t go to church or large family gatherings.
I do need to explain as I don't think any of those should have been shut down entering late summer/fall 2020. :coffee:
Perhaps not or perhaps if we didn’t have the potential for community spread outside of school.

A group of 18 scientists from all over the world has written an open letter calling for an investigation into the origins of coronavirus, imploring that accidental release from a lab not be ruled out "until we have sufficient data." The letter, which was published in Science, also said the zoonotic spillover and lab accident theories "were not given balanced consideration."

Large retailers are already starting to drop their mask recquirents. Walmart, Traders Joes, and Publix are among those that today said customers and workers who’ve been vaccinated no longer need to wear masks.

The State of NC and Buncombe County dropped mask restrictions, except for in certain places (medical facilities, etc), for vaccinated people yesterday. Businesses will be free to require masks if they choose.

We’re keeping masks for inside employees (which I think is still in effect in WA state until June 30th). Then everything opens back up. Ironically our numbers spiked yesterday.

I see there’s already confusion over this. Retailers announce a nationwide no more mask requirement policy for their stores, but that policy is overidden in many blue states. Some people gling by the national policy, some by the state..

Yep, June 30th unless they get the vaccinated rate up to 70% before then.

I predict a land rush for rural properties - can you imagine what those poor bastards living in an apartment in a big city must have gone through? Everybody gonna want a piece of ground to run away from the city to when the next one happens, even if its just a place to park the car and pitch a tent. I should get busy putting sites for car camping in the south pasture. First car with a Trump sticker gets the site where the chiggers hang out..

The flip flop in people who typically sneer at States’ rights and those who typically sneer at the Federal govt is going to be amusing

What’s funny is both sides talk a good game on social media but in public mostly avoid being a Karen, thankfully. (Self included).

Went into my local grocery store last night. Sign on the door said "Mask covering required for entry". Walked in without a mask, fully 70% of the people walking around the store had no mask on. Went about my business, went through checkout with no mask on, bought my shit and moved along. Nobody said a single word to me about my lack of a mask, not the checkout lady, not any employee, not any customer.

This stupidity will end when we decide it will end and just stop complying.

Proves it's medical, it didn't end with the election, it ended with the vaccine.

Has no bearing on whether it's medical or political. Or herd immunity. You go ahead and pick which one you believe. :thumb:

This. I've been going to the grocery store (3-4 times a week) without a mask for over a month now. Never had any of the employees say anything. Had a random middle aged women (probably named Karen) say something once but they are easily ignored.
