Now that The Hunt is being released, the right-wing freakout over the film looks even more ridiculous
Right-wing attempts to shut down an unreleased film show how inconsistent their “free speech” claims have always been

Six months after sending right-wing media into a rage spiral, Universal Pictures has announced its intention to finally give The Hunt its theatrical release.

It had been unclear whether the film, co-written by Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse of HBO’s recent Watchmen series, would ever see the light of day following a Fox News-fueled campaign to have it pulled.

I don’t either but there are other sources, one from the independent I think. Pretty sure Media Matters posted links to Laura Ingraham and other Fox hosts who were commenting on it.

I have plenty of people who would freak out about this on my Facebooks, but nothing really so far

I’m sure somebody had a meltdown over it but probably a non story. Add in Media Matters and that raises the probability by double

But reverse the roles and have Ted Nugent leading guided hunts for Antifa maggots and watch what happens

I'd bet money that the postponing of the movie is just a marketing ploy to put the spotlight on it since it hasn't gotten good feedback in any of it's preliminary screenings. But why take the time to think when you can make a false equivalence and pretend that movie studios care about the approval of conservative commentators and Fox News' audience.

But you are talking real life, no? The Hunt is a fictional movie. Maybe someone will make a movie starring Ted Nugent hunting libtards? Anyway.....this movie will make a lot of money for about 1 week......it might become a cult classic at home though.
