The six states I picked (CA, CO, ME, MA, MN, VT) are the six currently leading, and I didn't cheat a peek.

And GF is probably right on TX too. I may have whiffed on that one.

Yep...all those frustrated Beto voters will come out and give Bernie the Lone Star Democrat primary...

The big question isn't which States he will win but what the margins will be in the big ones (Texas and California). Just watching the Chris Mathews retirement show and Steve Kornaki showed polling results suggesting Biden got a bump. Before South Carolina is was looking like Biden might get no delegates at all out of California. Now Biden is at 18% in the average of the three most recent polls of California and they were taken before Buttigeig and Klobuchar dropped out and endorsed him. Those two combined average 15% in those three polls. The late developments are blunted somewhat by the fact that there was a lot of early voting in California. It'll be interesting to see what happens there.

Meanwhile the latest Texas poll has Sanders up by 31 to 26 while Buttigieg and Klobuchar have a combined 9. Now it's being reported that Beto O'Rourke is endorsing Biden. I picked Sanders to win Texas but I won't be shocked if Biden does.

Yes....Western states are different than Eastern states. A bit more level headed in some ways.....and less loyal in other ways.

People actually think he has a chance in those southern states? Hell, the gay candidate had more swing with blacks than bernie.

I went with Cali, Vermont, Maine, Colorado, Mass, and Utah. Probably won't get Utah, but I was on a roll so I figured why the hell not.

Sanders: CA, TX, CO, Minn, Vermont, Mass, Maine, Utah
Biden: VA, NC, Tenn, OK, Arkansas, Bama.

Texas could either way. That is the key. Biden has to win Texas.

These are my picks except Massaxchusetts, I think Warren wins at home. Utah is a dark horse.

Texas is funny behind the rhetoric - remember that Beto came real close to taking out Cruz.

If the republicans could find a way to overcome their racism enough to welcome latinos to the Party they would own TX forever.

Agree on that. Mexicans are Catholic and conservative. They'd rally behind the Republicans. Once they outnumber white men, the GOP will begin courting them like the Dems do negros. It's all a numbers game.

I didn't pull the trigger either but it won't surprise me if he does. I think Warren wins at home and Bernie takes Texas - I just don't see trump getting enough of Team Brown's vote there.

Put down: California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Texas, and Vermont

Minnesota is hard to gauge. Sanders is currently in the lead but I am not sure how deep (outside of the Twin Cites) his support goes. There is a lot of Dems in the Iron Range that Biden can appeal to.

Utah - I think Biden takes it.

Nah, Warren's going to get demolished in her own state. And actually, I should've put Utah in there, I think Sanders wins in a walk in Utah.

Really, the two biggest questions are what happens in Minnesota now that Klobuchar is out of the race and backing Biden since it was neck and neck there with her and Sanders, and what happens in Texas, because that's a toss-up state as well. The other thing of note would be if Sanders is able to steal any of those Southern states - I don't think Biden can steal anything from Bernie but Bernie has a few he could surprise in - if Bernie takes Virginia or Arkansas then this thing will be over by tomorrow. Biden needs those states to have a chance at a contested convention, which is Biden's only path to the nomination now.

I never even considered Mass for Sanders. :coffee: I figured Warren would at a minimum win her home state. I think Biden and Bernie are neck and neck in Utah so it's just a coin toss for me.

I guess it's time to go see what Nate Silver is saying...
