I've the abundance of aquatic plants and the complaints of boaters, and leaves, when I was on the lake.

From a quarter to half of Earth’s vegetated lands has shown significant greening over the last 35 years largely due to rising levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide, according to a new study published in the journal Nature Climate Change on April 25.

An international team of 32 authors from 24 institutions in eight countries led the effort, which involved using satellite data from NASA’s Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer instruments to help determine the leaf area index, or amount of leaf cover, over the planet’s vegetated regions. The greening represents an increase in leaves on plants and trees equivalent in area to two times the continental United States.

Might be a new study but I read about specialty greenhouses that pump extra CO2 into the air to boost crop production 10 years ago.

One company that I have ran across that specializes in that.

The main problem is oceanic temperature adaption is slow (really slow)
The ocean is getting warmer and the worlds largest living entity - the great barrier reef is mostly dead now
over 50 percent of the world's coral reefs have died in the last 30 years
and up to 90 percent may die within the next century
very few pristine coral reefs still exist...

That's a huge problem because temperature adaptation in the ocean is so slow to respond

On land you can almost always turn a desert into a garden or vice versa
with water and nitrogen *viola !

But the ocean is not that easy
and its in trouble if we keep trending this direction

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But what about the blue crabs in the Chesapeake Bay region?

No problem. They'll just ship more in from Louisiana.

The dying reefs will be difficult to save. Scientist have found new reefs being formed in more temperate waters. We agree that the pollution isn't good for the ecosystem as a whole. Life may be able to adapt while the human component is trying to figure itself out. The biggest issue in the future is overpopulation. That will affect a lot of things from water supply, land use for growing food, etc.

For many years I've said that the biggest problem I have with the Climate Change concern thing is my perception that the assessment of the effects of such change reflects a preservationist bias. I think there will be plusses and minuses to Climate Change and there has been a lot more emphasis on the minuses.

The big one I am concerned about is the effect on oceanic phytoplankton. There are ranges of estimates but I don't think there's any question that most of our oxygen comes from oceanic phytoplankton. And there are those who think Climate Change could seriously impact that situation. Here is one article in that regard:

https://psmag.com/environment/global-wa ... -in-danger

I am comforted by the educated belief that the planet has been much warmer when there was plenty enough oxygen to allow life to thrive. Like the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous periods when the average global period was believed to be much higher than it is now and also much higher than it will be 100 years from now even if we do nothing to stop Climate Change . But the fact that there are competent people who think oceanic phytoplankton are at risk does concern me more than anything else I've heard about the possible adverse impacts of climate change.
