Let me give you the same explanation I gave Chizzoo, Jurf. Almost everyone universally agrees that there should not be needless loss of life. The problem is people not agreeing on what "needless" is.

You think these kinds of posts are really clever but it's not any more clever than saying "you're not really pro-life unless you think the national speed limit should be 30 miles an hour, hurr hurr gotcha!"

Is the economy worth the lives of our Senior citizens?

Are the lives of senior citizens worth the lives of those of all ages who would die due to a years long Depression/wrecked economy, and 300+ million people being miserable for years?

At some point, yes the costs become too high because depressions destroy a lot of life expectancy and increase all-cause mortality. And they will reach every corner of the globe unlike the virus.

There are a lot of solutions out there that don't involve a purge of a great sector of citizens. These solutions might cause a temporary discomfort to corporate America, but they can take the hit. Trump has now entered the edge of Hitler lunacy by even contemplating this type of holocaust.

Amen Gil....we finally agree on something.

We've barely done 2 weeks of this....and whiny MAGAs are already soiling their panties over this. :ohno:

Walt Disney World closed on Sunday, March 15......10 days ago. Tens of thousands of people left the Florida resort and went home to other states & countries. People are still running around Florida beaches....and other areas of the country like nothing is happening. :ohno:

The silver lining is that if Trump gets his way....he will be digging his own grave....and their will be no ifs, ands or buts that he will be 100% responsible for digging it himself.

JFC. Is there a corollary to Godwin's law for invoking the holocaust?

If it directly involves killing off segment of the population, then it's time to invoke.

Let me know when we start rounding people up from their homes at gunpoint and shipping them off to death camps.

Texas and Ohio just banned abortion procedures so they’ve got that going for them.

That's one type of holocaust. Knowingly letting a virus run rampant over the population, knowing a certain sector will be at risk, just to save the economy is akin to a modern holocaust. Let the master race survive.
