Are you wearing a mask when you go out in public?

Yes, in stores and public places. it's state law.

Re: Are you wearing a mask?
Yup, at work for 9 hours a day (except when eating - I'm having tea every afternoon now so that I get extra time with it off), and in stores. I'm not wearing one for walking the dogs - do that in the general area of my house, if anyone walks on the path near us we or them just swerve way off the path to keep distance.

Re: Are you wearing a mask?
I have one given me by the company that furloughed me. I don't generally wear it since I'm in a mask-optional county, but it's in my truck and available in case I go into a store that requires it, a la Big 5 a few weeks ago while looking for a copper knee sleeve before they completely shut down.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: Are you wearing a mask?
I wear in public. If walking, I don't wear it on the street to get to my normal walking park, but in the park I put it on. Grocery Store, everywhere else, yes.

Mostly yes, but sometimes I do forget.
Re: Are you wearing a mask?
Yes. Some places around here require it anyways; most grocery stores have gone that route.

Yes in stores, post office, takeout restaurants.
No for neighborhood walks and driving my car.

This is actually what prompted me to start the poll. Seeing more and more of that around here - person alone in a car with a mask on.

Re: Are you wearing a mask?
I don't wear one. Although in the last two weeks I have been in the quicky mart once and in the hardware store once so I'm not out in public much. And I'm the only one going to the office. And I'm not going to wear one to go for walks or a run.

Re: Are you wearing a mask?
The only time I wear it in the car is if I have multiple close stops - it is just easier to leave it on for those - i.e gas station then grocery store.

Re: Are you wearing a mask?
Like a bandito...although I did forget it today when I went to the c-store and hardware store.
I’m surprised to hear it’s mandatory in some states and not in WA.
They are probably 60% worn here in public businesses.

Mandatory in most public places like grocery stores starting today in IL. Haven't been out of the house except for a run.

Re: Are you wearing a mask?
No, but I am afraid the government will force me to shortly. From what I've seen with people with masks, it is the equivalent to the idiot who thinks he is fine to drive 65 on icy roads just because he is in a 4-wheel drive. People constantly fidgeting with the mask, touching their nose and mouth, not covering their nose and/or mouth, and never cleaning it. Also, people with masks have no problem with getting right on top of you in the stores and not maintaining the required social distancing, even when there is enough room to keep 6 feet away.
I was in a deli shop getting a sandwich and a person had a mask on and sneezed right in the mask, then proceeded to constantly touch it while he was waiting for his sandwich. How is that not spreading the virus? Oh but I have a mask on so I am fine. Really?
That said, I will probably be forced to wear a mask by the government. I also would consider wearing a mask if they would ease some restrictions.

Re: Are you wearing a mask?
I just got an email from American Airlines saying they are requiring masks on all passengers beginning May 11.
Somebody should start a religion between now and then that doesn't allow masks, just so we can come full circle from the muslins whining about not being able to wear all their gear everywhere.

Just get a DR. note that says wearing a mask causes you mental/emotional stress.93henfan wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 2:39 pm I just got an email from American Airlines saying they are requiring masks on all passengers beginning May 11.

I'll add it to the Tao of 88. Now I just need a disciple to write down the principles so I can keep track of them.93henfan wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 2:39 pm I just got an email from American Airlines saying they are requiring masks on all passengers beginning May 11.
