Who is going to enforce it if they de-fund the police?

Good thing is that you can avoid Cynthia by staying outside of certain areas. The rest of the state has signs like this:

No doubt, but they cannot enforce it. A law is only as good as the enforcement of it, otherwise it is just ink on a piece of paper. And a $100 fine for not wearing one is less than the lowest speeding ticket one can receive.

Walz would of better off asking people to wear them indoors and leaving it up to the communities in question (which have been handling it). Him signing the law into effect is going to ensure just lip service to it outside of the metro and a few other areas. He is using it as a power play against the state senate as they have been less than receptive to some of his ideas.

I think individual businesses will enforce it as them please. Some will be less willing to enforce it, will others will be stricker. Walmart has people outside the door only allowing people with mask. Sounds like the police are going to carry mask to give to people, and last resort is a fine. Probably for anyone being an asshole.

The business will have to. Boss had a situation here the other day where he forgot his, turned around to get his out of the vehicle and an employee came out and said to ignore the sign, just come in. The larger box stores have the man power to have a dedicated individual for this, but the smaller stores probably do not.

My guess, based on what I have been observing, is there will be about 75-85% compliance with it but with how some people use a mask, it will be like only 55-65% actually have one on. I have been seeing more and more of just the mouth masks lately or ones that are obviously dirty. Either from use or sitting in a vehicle.

Yes, at Costco, a few people waked in with mask on, and once they got far enough in, the mask disappeared.

When I was at LGA on Monday, only one of the five TSA agents I dealt with had their mask over the nose. :?

Corona fatigue is real. People just gave up.

Here is Cuomo's New York (blue ponchos) vs Canada (red ponchos) at Niagara Falls.

Well it didn't help that China had WHO pimp the lies about the China Virus not spreading human to human into mid January. Oh and how about the surgeon general tweeting that masks don't need to be worn?

The masks have turned into a "for it before being against it" meme. :ohno:

Yeah all of these mandates are unenforceable. The Sac County Sheriff came out and said their officers won't be enforcing any mask mandates the day after Newsom issued the mandate.
