Four Minneapolis police officers have been fired following the death of an unarmed black man in police custody Monday night.

Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced the decision at a press conference Tuesday afternoon. The four officers involved have not been identified.

I got to the point where he made his first moan/begging and then had to turn it off. Couldn't get any further.

The guy’s cuffed, fight’s over.

If he’s too much to contain for one officer then call some backup so the partner can help instead of having to watch the crowd.

They could also have shackled his feet if he was that much of a flight risk.

While all police departments can be better in this regard, why is this the Minneapolis PD again? Their track record is such that they should be especially attuned to not letting crap like this keep happening.

How do you say easy murder conviction for the 2 officers the video doesn't show? Even a manslaughter charge wouldn't be easy to convict on anyone other than Officer Knee in Neck. My guess is Officer Knee In Neck will be the only one who might be charged with murder, but more likely convicted of manslaughter. Maybe the other cop the video shows will be charged with manslaughter. The other 2 who knows, but their careers are probably over.

The cops had about 10 minutes of holding this guy on the ground, gasping for air, to think about what they were doing. This was a slow motion tragedy that should've been avoided. This wasn't a bad decision made in an instant, this was lack of concern for another human being. That's murder to me.
