How about eliminate the minimum wage and social security?
I’d be fine with both of those as well. Very, very few people make the minimum wage anyways. Salary should NOT be a function of the government. Nor should saving for retirement.

We’re starting to build a platform i could get behind!
I liked Bush's partial privatization plan for social security, but there are too many people that would just spend that money on hookers and blow.

This is what rational criticism of Cheney looks like ..

Amash warns of turning lawmakers like Cheney into 'heroes'
“Liz Cheney, what is it that you saw that made it so different for you versus how Trump was behaving, say, before January 6th?” he continued. “I mean, I don't think there was any radical difference there. It was the same... because the outcome was different? Because that was the one time they stormed the Capitol?"

"One of the biggest problems we have in politics is that when someone is inconsistent like that, where they're doing the wrong thing for four years and then they flip on a dime, there's a tendency to turn them into heroes,” added Amash, who served in Congress for five terms. “And I think that's a huge problem because it lets people get away with things."

He went on to say, though, that he believed it was important to “give people the room to learn and change.”

Rational criticism of Cheney = she should have been critical sooner? Ok.

I like Bill Maher more every day.

He’s right here, too. Stop with the struggle session apologetics. If nobody responds to these little warty gnomes they lose what little legitimacy they have.

I saw something the other day that said Murkowski's favorability rating among Alaska Repubs is 6% and 84% disapproval. 59% of all Alaskans view her unfavorable and only 26% favorable.

Hopefully she is done after this term either voluntarily or at the ballot box. And my dislike of her has nothing to do with Trump. I don't like the cronyism of her father appointing her to the seat.

Baptist-affiliated Samford University has uninvited Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham to speak at inauguration ceremonies for the school’s new president, after anti-abortion activists created an online petition that has garnered nearly 1,000 signatures and the Student Government Association passed a resolution calling for the change.

Meacham won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for his biography American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House. He also has written acclaimed biographies of Thomas Jefferson, Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and George H.W. Bush, as well as historical accounts of the Civil Rights Movement and a book on Jesus’ final words from the Cross.

The point is that the conservatives who complain about "Cancel Culture" miss the point that the conservative movement is constantly trying to control thought even while it's complaining about "Cancel Culture."
