Re: 2020 General Election
History is unfolding but it's just one more thing making the Republican Party look bad to sensible people. Assuming they come back saying there was widespread fraud, etc., and/or that Trump really won the conclusions won't have any credibility. The only people that will believe it are people that already thought that. Everybody else is going to see this as what it is and look at it at a corrupt effort by the Republican Party. And it's not going to change the certified results.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Sat Apr 24, 2021 11:37 am Watch history unfold. Actually watch the Maricopa audit.

You would have thought they would have at LEAST tried to pick somebody to do the audit that would have credibility but, no, they firm associated with a conspiracy theory nut job.
The Republican Party in the United States has really gone off the deep end.

Worried about the audit because it's a joke of an audit that will be used to justify voter suppression initiatives.
These guys straight up walked in, had access to ballots and equipment, while recording.

Talk about securing the ballots after bitching about insecure ballots.
And it's all being run by a biased Trump supporter and conspiracy theorist, while OANN is running azaudit.org.

Re: 2020 General Election
OK
So one of the most convincing conspiracy theories I fell prey to was the watermarked ballots. Apparently special paper was used for all official ballots, written into a law @ 2018. A special unique paper and watermark were used.
After the election, the second counting didn't take this into account. They just hand counted the ballots. What ever. I called everyone for being full of shit and leading people on over nonsense.
The thing I saw this weekend was the UV blue lights in AZ.
I'm intrigued once again.
I don't think anything is going to come out of this audit. He's been sworn in. And the results of whatever is found is going to be laughed off and mocked anyway.
Just saying.

Not sure why the folks on the "everything in the election was legit" train are worried about an audit.

This is the most open and free audit ever. All you have is conspiracy and no proof. How many court cases do you have proving fraud?∞∞∞ wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 3:43 am Worried about the audit because it's a joke of an audit that will be used to justify voter suppression initiatives.

Re: 2020 General Election
I'm concerned about the Republican Party as it is today and the delusional nature of its base. This is totally pointless except that it will serve to reinforce a myth. Nobody who doesn't already believe the myth is going to believe the results. You have a private firm with an obvious bias with no experience in doing recounts while refusing to disclose its methods. When a government entity hires consultants with the consultants knowing what the government entity wants to hear the government entity is going to hear what it wants to hear. And in this case the consultants' were spinning the myth before they even got hired.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 7:32 pmMay 15th and it will be over.JohnStOnge wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 6:57 pm

I'm actually surprised that they are being allowed to do this. If State law allows that sort of thing it shouldn't.

Re: 2020 General Election
The underlined portion of the following paragraph from the article at https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/maric ... yones-vote says it all about the credibility of the Maricopa County audit:
It's just one more indication that the Republican Party has become the Party of stupid.
I mean, why do that? Why give the job to a firm you KNOW has no credibility so that whatever results they come up with have no credibility? You would THINK they would at least try to get a firm with experience in doing election audits and wasn't so obviously biased. The state Senate used its subpoena power to take possession of all 2.1 million ballots in Maricopa County and the machines that counted them, along with computer hard drives full of data. They’ve handed the materials over to Cyber Ninjas, a Florida-based consultancy with no election experience run by a man who has shared unfounded conspiracy theories claiming the official 2020 presidential election results are illegitimate.

There is absolutely no way that 99% of signatures could match. At least 1% of the people signing are using Mickey Mouse or some other fictitious name.
