What transformation? Trump & Fox and the Donk MSM have divided America.
You are not the same, clear, free thinker you used to be. The change is clear to anyone paying attention.
While I'll never fully agree with Gil or JSO, they stand on the right side of history. They don't support a fascist presidency and party hellbent on dismantling our democratic institutions, who subvert free and fair elections, who disregard science, and who lack empathy.

So many of you have changed in the 10+ years I've been here. Used to be assholes who cared, and now you're just assholes.

Yeah...literally no one is saying that. But we are now at the equivalent of sixty 9/11’s and counting. Not to mention long term health effects. Some of that was avoidable.
Agree to disagree. AOC and more than a few others have given speeches with that message on a variety of topics (Environment, Pandemic, etc.).

So there's a rift between Michelle Obama and Harris? Obama mentioned Biden multiple times, but never mentioned Harris once during her speech last night.. :coffee:

Three of those four are actual freedoms in the US. One is not.
Removing religion and removing guns are freedoms?

It’s literally in the dictionary definition. Guess I’ll have to polish off Bill Buckley Jr. again...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof... so we have freedom of and from religion.

the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed... so we have the right to guns.

And we are now at just over .05% (1 20th of 1 percent) that have died of the China Virus.

-We have the equivalent of 200+ 9/11s with cancer every year, no cure.
-We have the equivalent of 200+ 9/11s with heart disease every year..

Population of almost 330 million that's been growing by a couple million a year, with several million people that die every year.

Freedom from religion to me, means removing religion. Removing religion from schools, removing religion from public spaces and eventually removing religion entirely. This basically separates people, divides people, instead of meeting each other and learning from each other.

Public schools, public places... both are and should be freedoms from. That's why I sent my kids to private school where half the parents were liberals and half were conservatives. We had an incredibly tight knit community of folks with different beliefs. Hell, I went to a friends house to watch the Obama inauguration because they were so excited he won.
