I do fear for my life. That's why my windows are down, dome light on, both hands on my steering wheel and all paperwork out and in hand when an officer approaches my vehicle.
Those actions are followed up with "yes sir" and "no sir" and absolutely no talking back.

You missed the thread where Gannonfan brought up the Stanford study on 93 million traffic stops, Blacks were 20% more likely to get pulled over.
Do we know that Whites and African American's are caught committing crimes at the same rate? How many are arrested just because they are in the wrong place at the wrong time. We do know the innocence project demographics. How many more are in prison for crimes they did not commit?
Exoneration Demographics
225 (60%) African American
117 (31%) Caucasian
29 (8%) Latinx
2 (1%) Asian American
1 (<1%) Native American
1 (<1%) Self-identified “Other”
Other Stats
21 of 375 people served time on death row
44 of 375 pled guilty to crimes they did not commit
69%:Involved eyewitness misidentification
Then there's poverty, not because Black wages are blow white wages with all other things being equal, education, job performance etc.

First of all, the thread talks about violent crimes. Both the FBI crime stats and the DOJ crime victim surveys confirm blacks commit violent crimes as significantly higher rates. As far as whether or not there's bias in traffic stops, just pointing out black people get stopped more doesn't prove there's any bias in who police choose to pull over. I'm skeptical about there. The New Jersey Turnpike study showed black people were more likely to speed and concluded no police bias.

My son was pulled over weekly when he was in High School. He followed all the rules, had long hair. All of them in a company car so I sure wasn't trying to break any rules, as if I had gotten two moving violations, I would have lost my job.
In regards to the changing lanes without a blinker, the highway patrolman even admitted he was looking for drunk drivers. Of course when he figured out I was going to Missoula for Griz Cat, he said, "Go Griz!"
