The last known person to have actually seen the documents is a producer at Fox and was shipping it to a Fox personality..and somehow these documents were stolen?

Hmmmm......sounds like BS. "Yeah, we had the evidence, but someone stole it!" There must be a mole inside Fox.
Documents found, but not the first time this has happened. Sounds like the work if the FBI intercepting and reviewing.
Sounds like Fox is full of crap. This is 2020. You're telling me that they couldn't scan and email the documents to Tucker? They couldn't have at least made 1 copy? :suspicious:

This was classic, 'check is in the mail'.

Is that why UPS just found the missing documents? I believe a thumb drive was part of the documents. I don't watch Fox, so not sure what Tucker said.

I only know up to about 11 am yesterday when a tree fell on the power lines and I was w/o electricity until about 3 am. I'm playing some catch-up with the news. Did they make a copy? If so....then what's the big deal about it getting lost in the mail?

Also - why send something so important via mail? Again - scan and email.

Yes. TC said last night that they did make a copy. The issue is privacy.

I don't know why it wasn't sent electronically. It was sent by overnight service through UPS. Maybe too much to send? Maybe concerns about privacy if sent electronically? I didn't see an explanation about that.

There's incredible strong and resilient encryption tools out there to send it electronically. Sending flash media through the mail isn't a bad idea, but you better hope your package can absorb bumps, drops, something being put on top of it... It just doesn't seem smart. Secure FTP exists. If it's good enough for banks and the government, it should be good enough for a media outlet. Actually - I'd be willing to bet that Fox has Secure FTP and email protocols.

I just read TCs article. It's nothing. " We have information but we're aren't going to use it b/c he's not running for POTUS." Then what's the point?

First, how far do encryption tools work? You know darn well that you, or someone in your department, can read every email that is sent through the servers you work with.

Second, TC was talking about personal stuff on HB that they have and won't release. Not his business dealings.

How far? I'm not sure what you're asking.

In addition to using a secure file transfer protocol, the email and it's data is encrypted with a either a public or private (or both) key. Unless the receiver has the authority, they can't open the email. Think of it as "call and response." Email is referred to as Data in Motion. Larger corporations don't get send the email, but it's electronically broken into different parts, routed through different servers in different locations and delivered in one piece to your machine. That way, if someone starts snooping in one server and Location 1 of 3 the following message, " CAA Flaggy is the coolest!!!!" might only see "C gy !" and that's if they've breached the outbound email servers and have successfully hacked it.

That's exactly how any data you send on your phone is encrypted, btw. ESPECIALLY voice to text.

If you want a good laugh, there's an old school encryption product that's still around and has it's purposes - it's called PgP: Pretty Good Privacy. We stopped using it a while ago...it doesn't seem to fit our needs of protection.

Oh well THAT really cinches it. You can believe it because you read it on the internet. Never mind the credibility of the source.
No, documents are available for view on the interwebs. Are they legit? Who knows, but no different than the documents used to impeach Trump over the Russia hoax, right jelly?

That doesn't sound like what happened. Sounds like the package got lost in transit (I've definitely had that happen before).

Where are you getting that the package was opened and documents removed?

Guess I misunderstood this to mean that he got some of the documents, but not all.
On Tuesday morning, the shipping company told Carlson that the package had been opened and the contents were missing.
