I was alluding to that in the other thread when I brought up nationalism and patriotism. A Democrat who can wrap themselves in the flag or a Republican who can sell single-payer health care can almost start ordering stationary for 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Nah, the Dems have the same problem on their side with the primaries now, and it's not going to get better either. Oh no, I think that would screw them too. Hey, I'm a centrist, I agree, people I'd vote for get primaried out all the time in favor of the rabid partisans. Sure is doing wonders on the national stage for us.
