Already?

Aside from the border crisis which policies have caused damage?
He's going back to energy dependence which is driving up the cost of oil, which in turn drives inflation. His weak stance with Russia and Iran are not working. Any progress in the Middle East seems to have evaporated. So other than national security, foreign policy and inflation, I guess he's doing OK.

Because they thought Biden would unify America and lead us forward. No serious discussion of policy by most of those Einsteins. Kind of like JSO: lots of numbers but no analysis.
Gotcha. I’ve noticed it too. No one should be surprised. Joe’s a corporatist conservative Democrat.
He’s about as “conservative” as your BFF JSO! And a serious threat to civil liberties in this country.

And I think most of the left are. But then again so are most of the right.

JSO’s Republican purity test failure notwithstanding.

what a Debbie Downer. I don't think "most" of EITHER side are a threat to the civil liberties of this country. The massive "middle" aren't the ones screaming at the top of their lungs and marching/burning/looting/destroying/attacking/insurrecting when their feelers get hurt. It's the fringes, which don't identify with OR speak for the vast majority of this country.

I get what you’re laying down but I don’t exactly see JSO as the screaming, marching, looting type. Actually quite the contrary. But he does hurt some feelings on here with his ideas I guess.

I'm not hurt by JSO but sometimes the logical, rational, reasonable part of me can't resist the urge to try and show him that he is biased when it comes to Trump. It's like Don Quixote tilting at windmills trying to get through that thick skull though.

And Joe just goes with the flow, bending with the Progtard winds to do whatever it takes to get elected. The most unprincipled politician from either side in my lifetime. Jonathan Turley did a great piece on this either yesterday or today. If I find the link, I’ll post it.

Blaming Biden for lumber prices or other goods impacted by manufacturing and supply chain issues is like blaming Trump for the immediate impact of the virus on the economy. Granted, he might not have done much to help the situation but he inherited it.

Not quite. He killed the XL Pipeline causing the price of fuel to skyrocket. Now the fuel that was sent through the pipeline is having to be shipped in tankers, burning even more fuel, etc. Secondly, his Commerce Department is in the process of DOUBLING the tariff on Canadian lumber. The smart thing to do would have been to eliminate Trump's idiotic tariffs, but no, he's doubling down on them. :dunce:

Biden does have some responsibility for the mess. Lesson learned.

BDK pointing it how when his idol Trump also bears responsibility is ironic.

Yeah the stimulus payments, the yr and a half extended/enhanced unemployment , and the yr and a qtr don’t have to pay your rent/can’t be evicted started under Trump. I would argue we didn’t need a round 3. It certainly didn’t need to be as large as it was or extended as far as it was under Biden. When you:
-keep printing trillions of fiat $$.
-keep forcing businesses to compete with people getting paid the govt equivalent to $15-$25 an hr to sit at home (19 blue states a 2 income family of 4 can get 100k plus now to sit at home)
-intentionally drive up energy costs.

You drive down the value of the dollar, drive up labor costs, drive up transportation costs, drive up manufacturing costs (petroleuem costs touches virtually everything produced or transported). And all that adds up to and high inflation.

No the Covid relief bills were necessary 2020. Not 2021, most of which wasn’t even Covid relief.

And get ready for it, the donks are trying to ram through 2 infracstrure bills. 600 billion of actual infrastrure negotiated with the conks, and a 3.5 trillion bill of non infrastructure- every socialist big govt wish list you could think, all of which they call ‘infrastructure’). 4.1 trillion total. Add that to the 5.7 trillion in China Virus relief bills. That would be close to 10 trillion in new spending in the last 1 1/4 yrs. Just print more trillions in fiat $$. Trillions here, trillions there, trillions trillions everywhere! If that all passes, get ready for inflation levels we haven’t seen in 4 decades..

We are caught in a feedback loop on our debt. Our politicians keep offering more and more bread and circuses

And then we keep going to brinksmanship on the debt ceiling

Our relatively secure and stable economy is based on the worldwide assumption that US debt payments and securities are the most reliable in the world...

We are in real danger of that assumption going away. As Sleepy Joe would say - this is a big fuckin deal

It’s almost as if we’ve just been through a pandemic...and need to catch up on deferred infrastructure (physical and human)...and keep the working class buying goods to keep the economy afloat...and keep taxes low so that Dr. Evil wannabes can take joy rides in their own rocket ships...

Infrastructure isn’t human.

‘Human infrastructure’ is the left’s new codeword for big govt socialist welfare programs..something we need less of, not more of.

Yes we need physical infrastructure for roads, bridges, rail, airports, ports, elctric grid, pipelines, etc. Imagine if we had taken the 1.9 trillion $ from the last mostly non covid covid relief bill, and instead put most of it (the 90+% non covid part) towards far more usueful ‘real’ infrastructure.

The way to stop inflation is simple. Just stop printing and spending $$ you don’t have.

I would argue that education is infrastructure, at least if we're serious about being the Land of Opportunity. But it is best served with state and local governments setting policy and priorities.
