Calling 74 million Trump voters imbeciles is a little bigger than calling so many thousands of members of the DC Teacher's union imbeciles. IMO the left is in the early stages of throwing unions under the bus - police unions were first, I would have guessed that construction unions would be next but maybe it's the teacher's unions.
And JFK Jr's perspective on Aaron's death seemed a little more in line with a Trump supporter's perspective.
I self-describe as a progressive.
The author didn’t call 74 million Trump voters imbeciles.
That was exactly my point, bringing up JFK jr.
I also didn’t know Chris Stirewalt was the super secret double agent political director for Fox News.
Your own confirmation bias is showing.
The author didn't call 74 million Trump voters imbeciles, they inferred that they were dupes and fools who were hustled by Trump and then made the leap to imbeciles with "our current concentration of imbeciles has surpassed any kind of safe level."
My confirmation bias might be showing. At least I'm willing to entertain the possibility rather than charging into the future with religious zeal and a self-righteous belief that my cause is just; my opinions are fact: the (pick a year) election was stolen; socialism will work; there is a secret cabal of Satan-worshipping, cannibalistic pedophiles running a global child sex-trafficking ring; there is a concerted, systematic effort by law enforcement to repress and kill people of color; etc.
