I got mines!

I woke up to my Biden money.
Things that make you go HHHmmmmm...
- The two Trump stimuli, I only got for 3/5ths of my family. I assumed due to #1 being 18 and #2 turning 18 in October 2020. This mornings deposit(bank) was for all 5 of us. I jizzed myself.
No homo. Then thought WTF? Why is it different?
dback, I'm looking at you to give me the company line.
...oh yeah, I bought a car for my daughters to share yesterday. Should I just go out and get another one with this money and completely avoid future summer confrontations?

Not close, but both my kids get them. Less cash I have to float them, so in a way I'm sharing in it.

I don't think so Jon. Higher energy costs and dependence on the Middle East, no border security and a mounting crisis, rejoining a bad climate accord that has no chance of succeeding.... I don't think Trump was selling those items.

I don't think I will get anything because I inherited money from my parents' estate in 2019 and I haven't done my 2020 tax return yet. No way to do it in a hurry as my wife is self employed. Our 2019 income was inflated by the inheritance so I am too "rich" to get anything.
I'm fine with it though. I really don't need the money at this time and there are others who do.

No surprise that a country that has a screwed up tax code botched this one. I know lots of folks who make under the limit and will get the checks that had their best year ever in earnings in 2020. Wouldn't it have been a better idea to get people to file and if your income went down X% from 2019 to 2020 and you made under $Y, you get the check?

But our illustrious leaders had to hurry to get "free" money to people in dire need. There was no time to think things through and do something logical. They've only had 8 months, not nearly enough time to come up with sensible legislation.

1.9 trillion/165 million+ filed in 2019 = over 11k per taxpayer they could have just cut checks to. That would have been better that this so called Covid relief bill that is 90+% nothing to do with Covid, but is just bloated pork..

Still unclear on why its $1400 and not the $2000 Joe was promising. I heard AOC say something about negotiating with the R's, but the vote went along party lines and zero R's voted for it. WTF kind of negotiating is going on there. Does the Kennedy Center really need that much? Have you seen the ticket prices? I'd rather go to the Super Bowl and buy a hot dog inside.
