Saying the quiet parts out loud?

Dems are complicit with their silence and clearly afraid of AIPAC.

Does this surprise you? Can you blame them? How would you respond if you were facing an implacable foe whose stated goal was to wipe you and your loved ones off the face of the earth?

Any peace with Hamas in its current form is temporary. If Israel agrees to a ceasefire/peace it should be with the understanding that if Hamas attacks again they're going to turn Gaza into a parking lot. Palestinians will have a choice: a) continue to support Hamas and risk annihilation, b) leave Gaza or c) overthrow Hamas and work on a solution that includes peaceful coexistence.

Quantify the types and level of support Palestinians provide Hamas. Are there accurate poll numbers for Hamas’s favorability?

Does that include Palestinian children?

Did all of the adult Palestinians who’ve been killed support Hamas?

So Israel should back off and put all of their people at risk because not all Palestinians in Gaza support Hamas? Has there been an outcry of the people for new elections? Have they protested against Hamas in anywhere near the numbers that they take to the streets to celebrate Israeli losses? If silence is violence in the US why isn't it in Gaza?

Hamas has made this conflict an us or them situation. Hamas has to go or completely cease terrorist activities. The Palestinian people in Gaza need to rise up against Hamas and force change for their own safety. They have their future in their own hands.

It was a serious question.

Hamas does indeed have to go. They are a terrorist organization. You raise a fair point on demonstrations, but I’m not sure how safe or possible that is with a theocratic/autocratic/terrorist government in charge. Not to mention democratic elections.

EG: Assad and Saddam were wildly popular too in elections.

I simply don’t know how much true support the Palestinian people have for Hamas. Seems like an important question when considering whether to “kill them all.”.

UNI's kinda right here. Hamas being allowed to be in power for so long, and to continually attack Israel since coming to power some 15 years ago, has to have some fault in the Palestinian people themselves. It's their country to make what they want of it. Most tyrannical governments in history eventually fall apart, but they can't do that if the population they rule over never demands something better. I don't know how blame gets apportioned, nor that it matters that it does, but if the Palestinians want a better country, a good amount of that depends on the Palestinians themselves.

Interesting Israel told Egypt they could have their IMF balance wiped clean if they allowed Palestinians across their border. I didn't know Israel spoke for the IMF.

You aren't up to speed yet on the Swiss/Israeli banking and space laser issue?

Then it would be legitimate for the IDF to attempt to take out Hamas and their assests amywhere they are located while attempting to minimize collateral (ie civilian) casualties. Those civilian casualties are on Hamas (for intentionally operating in/beside hospitals, schools, concentrated civilian housing, etc) not the IDF.

If you’re only on their side.

2 hospitals are literally on life support. Should they tell Hamas you can’t come in first or attend to the wounded? Where do you draw the line?

That is the perception in some circles. The perception in other circles is that "Hamas attacks ppl all the time and nothing is done about them and they are looked upon as defending themselves which is an obvious lie."

This isn't a simple they're in the wrong and they're in the right issue. Both sides have committed atrocities. Both sides have blood on their hands.
And Uncle Sam is sitting back and watching.

Sounds great on paper but the cold hard facts are that there is no peaceful solution to this millenniums-old tribal feud. It's like gun control, the barn door is open and that horse is long gone for anything other than academic discussion. Too much bloodshed on both sides for far too long for anybody to be forgiving.
