The article I was reading was talking about how poorly Dems are polling in Arizona and I think she understands that she needs to take a stand in order to get reelected. Let's hope the article is right on their assumption.

The Senate parliamentarian is an institution of the Senate, klam.

I’m sorry if I confused you by lumping threats to institutions and threats to democracy together. I’ll try to keep it simpler for you in the future.

If you want to argue that the Senate parliamentarian should be ignored in an evenly split Congress when one side doesn’t get its way, then have at it. Just don’t pretend to be a champion of norms, institutions, etc when you do.
