Virginia isn't deep blue, which is the reason Youngkin still has a slim chance to win. If you want deep blue, come to Delaware. Two decent, hard-working rural counties held hostage by one urban one with a bunch of welfare recipients. Hasn't gone for a GOP president since I was in high school (88 Bush). Gov, both US senators, US rep, both chambers of statehouse all blue.
Well, it might not be as deep as DE amd some others, but it is at least ‘solid’ blue. I would say that any state that voted for Biden by double digits and was one of only (actually 13) I think states that hit the quadfecta is at least solid blue:
-Voted Biden
-Donk Gov
-Both houses state legislature controlled by donks
-Both U.S. senators donk.
13 states are:
-VA
-NJ
-DE
-NY
-CT
-RI
-IL
-CO
-NM
-CA
-OR
-WA
-HI
Only 3 glaring blue omissions are MD, Mass & VT with conk govs.
18 solid red states that met the 4 criteria the other way. Only 5 glaring red omissions are MT (Testor), WV (Manchin), LA and KS (donk govs), and AK (split control legislature).
That only leaves about 11 states that aren’t either solid red or blue (and am including NC and GA and AZ in that group).
