Count me as just being a post-cold war baby if you want, but I don't worry that much about it.

I don't worry about war-profiteering oligarchs or dictators that only care about themselves because they know a nuclear war puts them effectively on the battlefield. They're going to be a lot more hesitant when they aren't just sending other people's kids to die fighitng.

The big worry is nuclear weapons getting into the hands of people that don't care what happens to anyone including themselves, like the Islamocrazies, but then again I think nuclear powers cooperate and take securing nukes very seriously. When the Soviet Union collapsed we apparently helped them in a time when their nukes would've been vulnerable.

I worry about it more today than I ever did during the Cold War

We are not dealing with a rational actor in Moscow

It would only take a minor miscalculation for Putin to escalate this thing

I think there's a good chance Putin wants us to think he's lost it because that will make us and everyone else in NATO a lot less aggressive.

I worry a little bit..about 3000% more than I did about terrorists following 9/11.

I've thought about it more in the last week than I have in a long time. When I see idiots in Congress calling for no fly zones I worry about it more.

Some. If it's up to just one person and he is suicidal, he'll want to take as many people as possible with him.

Not at all.

Volcanoes and New Jersey drivers pose a greater threat.

I worry about nuclear war about as much as I worried about COVID.

They are both in the category of "its life" and I have bigger things to worry about (and worrying about it does nothing).

Things I worry about more: Enough Scotch in the cabinet, Steak in the fridge, Work deadlines, and keeping my plant alive.
