Besides, Trump's team did file the DOJ has not proven the documents were classified. The DOJ/FBI has only leaked and said everyone must accept their judgement, even that special Master who approved the Carter Page FISA. These two are not the same.
I never expected so many people to carry water for the DOJ/FBI after years of malfeasance and being shown to have chased Trump on fabrications and lies.

Although Cannon can still over-rule Deary. Did she punt or will she insert herself further as a Trump advocate?

i am trying to figure out why there is so much emphasis on the question of whether some of the documents are classified or not due to the possibility that Trump declassified them while he was still President. My understanding is that the warrant was based on the Espionage Act and that law does not require that the documents be classified to be a problem. Also, they are government documents whether they are classified or not. They belong to the government. I don't see how there is any reason for claiming that they belong to Trump or that the government can't have access to them.

At the basic level, you are correct. The fun part is Trump trying to twist his defenses into some sort of ridiculous justifications for committing crimes. Any of them will indite him.

I have been trying to restrain myself with respect to that Cannon woman. But my own thought was she is an example of why we should not want people like Trump nominating judges.
On the positive side, 2 of the 3 judges on the Appeals Court panel are Trump appointees and it was a unanimous decision. Also, Trump appointed judges rejected numerous bogus election fraud claims when Trump was in his denial of the fact that he lost spasms. So there is reason for hope.
