So what does everyone now think about AI?

There’s been a number of dire warnings lately in the news. Geoffrey Hinton - the godfather of AI, the Anthropic whistle blower, Jacob Coxon, Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor’s new book to name a few.

And there’s the news about the AI test agents forming a large group with private communication with each other and going online - all of which defies their built in programming safety controls.

Are you blowing it off as over-reaction/conspiracy theory bullshit and no big deal?

Are you at least mildly concerned about AI’s ability to go rogue and uncontrollable?

How about the financial bubble which has formed?

Well, if they’re evil plan was making people dumber, step 1 is working very well.

AI is the second biggest overreaction to anything except Arch Manning laughing at the AI video

A lot swirling right now, but I'm seeing two reasons:

1) If we follow the typical path, those doing the regulation will make it so only the largest (donors) have a say and that will eventually squeeze out all the little guys.

2) AI isn't as profitable, so nationalize it and wipe their debt.

Both pulled out my ass.
